Field Services Engineer I (Medical Devices)

Location: Remote role supporting East Pennsylvania, including the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, United States. Frequent local travel, onsite service visits, adjacent-area backup support, and weekend on-call rotations are required.

Base compensation: $18.20–$42.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform moderate-level onsite troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance of electro-mechanical and automation solutions.
• Communicate with nursing and pharmacy professionals and resolve service issues of moderate scope.
• Document service events and meet response-time and service-level requirements.
• Escalate product bugs, malfunctions, and design issues through support channels.
• Manage parts inventory and returned materials while maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Coursework in network engineering, robotics, or electronics.
• Experience working in a hospital environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds to approximately 5 feet.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 24 hours a day, plus weekend on-call rotations.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and a personal vehicle in acceptable working condition are required.
• Must provide a home work area and space for trunk-stock inventory while supporting East Pennsylvania.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
