Control Systems Senior Team Lead (Embedded Controls)

Location: Onsite five days a week at the hirify.global Technical Center in Mossville, Illinois, or the Peoria Proving Grounds in Washington, Illinois. Less than 10% travel may be required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $147,760–$221,640 per year.

What you will do

• Lead a small engineering team supporting legacy, current, and future control strategies for Track Type Tractor applications.
• Plan projects, estimate budgets, and direct technical resources through controls development processes.
• Gather, negotiate, and document performance, functional, and system requirements with product, controls, performance, and embedded software partners.
• Lead high-level architecture and facilitate detailed design of embedded controls software using AUTOSAR, standard interfaces, modularity, and reuse.
• Communicate technical decisions and project status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and integrate drivetrain control solutions for powershift transmissions and torque converters, including valves, sensors, actuators, and embedded software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering curriculum, preferably electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or agricultural engineering.
• Experience with technology advising, project management, requirements analysis, embedded systems, decision-making, and communicating complex technical concepts.
• Experience developing embedded systems for machine control applications.
• Knowledge of Track Type Tractor applications or machine systems such as engines, drivetrains, or implements is valuable.
• Experience with requirements, software specifications, workflow management, and drivetrain controls design, embedded software, mechatronics, calibration, or validation.
• Understanding of CAN, J1939, XCP, Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, or Hardware-in-the-Loop testing is valuable.

Nice to have

• Experience with New Product Introduction processes and delivering software-enabled capabilities into production.
• Validation planning and execution experience, including test strategy development, data analysis, and issue resolution.
• Experience using ATI Vision, CANape, or similar calibration, measurement, and analytics tools.
