SAP Cloud Application Developer (SAP BTP)

Location: 100% remote within the United States. Maple Grove, Minnesota is also listed as the role location.

What you will do

• Design and develop side-by-side extensions and standalone applications on SAP BTP using CAP with Node.js and/or Java.
• Build responsive SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and Fiori elements applications and develop OData v2/v4 services.
• Implement authentication and authorization with XSUAA, SAP IAS, and SAP IPS, integrating SAP backends and third-party APIs.
• Deploy, scale, monitor, and operate applications on Cloud Foundry and Kyma runtimes.
• Build event-driven extensions, workflows, business rules, data solutions, and AI/ML use cases using SAP BTP services.
• Support clean-core architecture, CI/CD pipelines, multi-tenant SaaS operations, post-go-live support, performance tuning, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Five or more years of SAP development experience with significant hands-on SAP BTP experience; six or more years are listed as the target experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong experience with CAP in Node.js and/or Java, SAP Fiori/UI5, OData, BTP runtimes, and BTP services.
• Working knowledge of XSUAA, SAP IAS, SAP IPS, CI/CD tooling, SAP S/4HANA extension patterns, and clean-core principles.
• Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and technical design skills.

Nice to have

• SAP-certified BTP developer credentials.
• Experience with SAP Build, Workflow, Business Rules, Document Management Service, or SAP Integration Suite/CPI.
• Exposure to SAP AI Core and hyperscaler AI services.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications on SAP BTP.
