Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; work in hospitals, operating-room support areas, customer sites, and manufacturing environments. Domestic travel up to 50%; flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call coverage, may be required.

What you will do

  • Set up, move, install, commission, maintain, repair, calibrate, test, upgrade, and de-install robotic medical systems and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, software, firmware, and system-performance issues using service documentation, diagnostic tools, system data, and log analysis.
  • Respond to scheduled and unscheduled service needs while supporting system reliability, uptime, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate service visits with hospital stakeholders, including equipment access, site readiness, operating-room requirements, and safe equipment movement.
  • Maintain service records, work orders, parts usage, time records, configuration data, tools, spare parts, and company equipment.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, escalate complex issues, complete training, and contribute service-improvement recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in field service, medical devices, robotics, capital equipment, or a related technical environment.
  • Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, software, and computer-based troubleshooting.
  • Experience with installation, commissioning, sustaining support, calibration, functional testing, or preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of regulated medical-device environments, quality systems, documentation, GMP/ISO expectations, safety, and infection-prevention practices.
  • Professional spoken and written English, a valid driver's license, and the ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with a CRM or service-management system such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of parts, inventory, service tools, calibrated-equipment controls, software and firmware upgrades, remote support, and service-tool workflows.
