Field Service Technician (Robotics)

Location: Garden City, Kansas, United States; extensive travel to customer sites required, 75%+ of the time

What you will do

• Operate and maintain multi-robotic welding systems, automation equipment, pneumatic systems, and electrical devices.
• Load, monitor, and inspect welded assemblies using robotic vision systems and sensors.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, cleaning, and component replacement locally and at customer sites.
• Integrate autonomous welding cells into customer manufacturing processes and work with communication protocols, command prompts, and code changes.
• Record and analyze performance data, ensure precise part fit-up, and manage parts and completed assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineering resources and customers to resolve issues and optimize equipment efficiency.

Requirements

• Technical training, trade school certification, an Associate degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, assembling, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, preferably manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with fabrication or machine shop processes and comfort learning and using programming languages.
• Ability to handle small and fragile components with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites, 75% or more of the time.
• Strong collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving technical requirements.

Nice to have

• Welding experience; certifications are not required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
