Global Support and Services Technician

Location: Remote within the United States; preferred location is the St. Louis, Missouri area. Candidates elsewhere in the United States may be considered if they have convenient access to a major airport. The role requires approximately 30% domestic and international travel, overnight stays, extended customer-site assignments, work onboard vessels and at land-based industrial facilities, and occasional support outside normal business hours.

What you will do

• Represent hirify.global as the primary technical contact at customer sites.
• Plan and execute equipment commissioning, startup, maintenance, repair, and service activities.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment issues to reduce downtime and improve performance.
• Provide technical guidance, operational support, customer training, and commissioning services.
• Prepare service documentation, reports, quotations, spare-parts recommendations, and customer follow-up.
• Collaborate with internal teams, support special projects, and identify service improvements.

Requirements

• Technical diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in field service, commissioning, industrial maintenance, or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety and environmental requirements, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%, work at customer sites and onboard vessels, and hold or obtain a valid passport and required travel documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial gas generation, marine systems, membrane separation, compressors, instrumentation, PLC-based controls, or process equipment.
• Experience delivering customer training and technical presentations.
• Knowledge of commissioning and startup procedures for industrial and marine systems.
