Senior Engineer (Semiconductor Filtration)

Location: On-site in Inashiki-gun, Ibaraki, Japan, with the Global R&D Organization in Tsukuba

What you will do

• Develop advanced filtration, purification, and separation products and processes for semiconductor photolithography, wet etch, and clean chemicals.
• Lead R&D programs focused on cleaning and conditioning filters used in semiconductor photolithography.
• Apply technical knowledge of photolithography and design of experiments to evaluate cleaning mechanisms, process interactions, and critical operating parameters.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to scale new products and ensure high reliability.
• Work with leadership, cross-functional partners, global teams, laboratories, and engineering resources across time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least eight years of relevant semiconductor lithography experience; an advanced degree may substitute for part of the experience requirement.
• Working knowledge of advanced-node semiconductor contamination requirements and defectivity mechanisms.
• Proficient written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor-grade filtration products, installation, and qualification.
• Knowledge of analytical methods for particles, metals, ions, and organic contamination.
• Familiarity with ultraclean manufacturing environments and high-purity chemical systems.
