Sales and Service Banker (Financial Services)

Location: Onsite at the Franklin Ave branch in Hartford, Connecticut, United States. The role may also support nearby branch locations and requires availability for branch hours, including weekends and evenings.

Annual base pay: $34,500–$53,000 USD.

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and recommending tailored banking, lending, and investment solutions.
• Build and deepen customer relationships through branch activities, account support, portfolio management, referrals, and cross-selling.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other teller transactions while handling cash accurately.
• Educate customers about digital banking platforms and self-service options.
• Resolve customer concerns, deliver personalized service, and contribute to branch sales and performance goals.
• Follow regulatory and internal requirements for risk management, fraud defense, audits, and operational controls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 12 months of sales experience, or at least 6 months of retail banking, financial services, consultative relationship sales, or qualifying hirify.global experience.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience in a high-volume environment and at least 6 months of cash-handling experience.
• Strong relationship-building, customer service, communication, consultative sales, cross-selling, computer, and basic math skills.
• Ability to follow procedures, identify and escalate risks, maintain accuracy, manage multiple priorities, and use digital tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work full time in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, training, military service, or education.
• Established work history or equivalent background.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
