Application Engineer III (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. Full-time onsite role with approximately 20% travel; relocation eligible.

Salary: $108,000–$148,500 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, managing requirements, timelines, deliverables, and ongoing support.
• Understand customer applications, identify technical gaps, and drive solutions through implementation.
• Lead system evaluations, demonstrations, beta-site execution, technical reviews, and application activities.
• Execute Statements of Work and project schedules while defining support strategies for installation and performance optimization.
• Drive adoption of new product technologies, use cases, and advanced electrical test capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer technologies into customer environments and support success in semiconductor fabrication facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• Strong foundation in electronics and physics, with the ability to apply concepts to complex electrical test challenges.
• Familiarity with advanced electrical testing methodologies, EBT technologies, and related use cases.
• Ability to ramp up on complex tools and systems within approximately 6–9 months.
• Experience working in customer-facing roles and serving as a local, onsite technical interface in demanding fab environments.
• Strong communication skills; semiconductor equipment, inspection, or metrology experience is preferred.
