NM HOP Sort Contract Module Equipment Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. Regular presence at the Rio Rancho manufacturing facility is required.

Salary: $52,000–$200,000 annual target compensation range for US hourly roles.

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, assemble, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics using technical documentation, layout plans, blueprints, hand tools, meters, and calibration tools.
• Execute equipment setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance while coordinating supplier service and repairs.
• Analyze equipment and performance data, document failures, and update equipment specifications to improve reliability and availability.
• Partner with Module Engineering on experiments, configuration changes, data collection, and controlled troubleshooting.
• Support factory ramps by helping install, convert, and qualify tools according to design requirements.

Requirements

• On-site work in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho, New Mexico is required.
• Associate degree or higher with relevant technical training or hands-on technical experience, an associate degree in a technical or STEM-related discipline, or comparable technical military training.
• Ability to work a compressed schedule of three consecutive 12-hour shifts followed by a four-day work week every other week, including night shifts.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom for more than 90% of the shift while wearing required PPE, including a respirator when required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, walk 2–4 miles per shift, stand or sit for extended periods, climb ladders, and work near chemicals under safety procedures.
• Strong safety awareness, procedural discipline, communication skills, basic computer literacy, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.

• Experience maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency with hand tools, electrical meters, and calibration tools.
