Field Application Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, Texas, USA; travel up to 20%, primarily domestic with some international travel.

Salary: $55,400–$90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Engage with customers to understand technical needs for semiconductor integrated-circuit products.
• Assess competitive solutions and communicate hirify.global value propositions.
• Partner with account managers, product marketing, and technical experts to create application-specific presentations.
• Combine technical and commercial requirements into design-winning proposals.
• Identify and resolve issues that affect design wins and product tapeouts.
• Advocate internally for improved features and capabilities where competitive gaps exist.

Requirements

• Graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and good academic standing.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Knowledge of circuit design, semiconductor device physics, or materials science through coursework.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to work safely and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs.

Nice to have

• Related internship or co-op experience.
• Leadership experience in work, academic projects, or competitions.
• Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, EDA tools, and Linux.
