Data Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: New York City office, with in-office collaboration 4 days per week

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity and a $20,000–$40,000 bonus

What you will do

• Own the data engineering function and build reliable, scalable production pipelines from the application into Snowflake.
• Lead discovery and integration initiatives across approximately 5–10 healthcare systems and EHRs.
• Architect and manage Snowflake infrastructure, including security, governance, vendor relationships, and data protection.
• Design data models that transform raw data into usable assets for analytics and internal tooling.
• Implement monitoring and alerting to identify pipeline issues quickly and minimize business impact.
• Explore AI-enabled approaches for structuring and extracting insights from unstructured clinical referral documentation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, including scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, modern cloud data platforms such as AWS or GCP, pipeline tools, and orchestration frameworks.
• Understanding of healthcare data, claims, EHR systems, and data integration patterns, or the ability to learn complex domain-specific systems quickly.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for complex, ambiguous integration challenges.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse technical and healthcare stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the New York City office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Healthcare data security, HIPAA considerations, data governance, and compliance experience.
