Software Acquisition and Production Manager (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in San Antonio, Texas, United States. Working hours are normal business hours.

What you will do

• Develop and refine software acquisition strategies for emerging national security capabilities.
• Recommend and refine operational requirements for Department of the Air Force domain awareness, visualization, and data fusion technologies.
• Oversee task planning, project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation across large projects.
• Recommend and use software modeling and test tools to validate system performance.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior Department of Defense leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years in software development program or project management.
• Experience designing and supervising complex systems of systems and enterprise architectures.
• Experience managing and delivering complex software development projects for senior decision-makers.
• Leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
• Previous defense-sector or Department of Defense project experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, or a related field.
• Experience with emerging system modeling and engineering techniques and languages.
• Experience with large-scale software acquisition programs.
