Senior Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time onsite position in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. U.S. person qualification is required under ITAR/EAR, and U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Salary: $80,500–$123,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead top-level program plans and coordinate execution plans with functional group leads.
• Develop project plans, define deliverables, and manage requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, and customer expectations.
• Manage risks, issues, opportunities, change processes, and program performance metrics.
• Facilitate negotiations covering cost, schedule, quality, deliverables, and performance objectives.
• Lead customer and program communication, resolve program issues, and clarify team responsibilities and accountability.
• Guide programs from development through final product delivery in accordance with PMI, PMBOK, ANSI, and ISO standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or a technical field as a project or program manager.
• Thorough knowledge of project management practices and the project lifecycle, from requirements definition and proposal negotiation through implementation and completion.
• Ability to lead activities and resources across the organization and communicate effectively with customers at all levels.
• Strong initiative in defining, implementing, and communicating schedule metrics for decision-making.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR; U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in project management, business administration, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience working independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with broad team responsibilities.
