Registered Nurse, Occupational Health

Salary: $38.40–$48.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide clinical care to client employees, including evaluation, treatment, triage, medications, and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
• Manage occupational health evaluations and regulatory requirements related to OSHA, DOT, CDC, and other applicable standards.
• Care for injured workers, coordinate case management, and support return-to-work and transitional duty programs.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKGs, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Maintain accurate health records, medical equipment, infection control standards, and a clean, safe care environment.
• Educate patients and collaborate on health promotion, injury prevention, accident investigations, and workplace safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, ambulatory care, or a similar clinical setting.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• Experience with workplace health screenings, fitness-for-duty evaluations, hazard mitigation, health education, and return-to-work examinations.

Nice to have

• Certification in Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, where required by the site contract.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
