Biomed Tech II (Biomedical Equipment)

Location: Augusta, Georgia, United States; onsite hospital-based role with various shifts.

What you will do

• Evaluate, diagnose, calibrate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment.
• Complete safety acceptance testing for new and serviced hospital equipment.
• Install and update medical equipment, including security protocols, and develop technical solutions with clinical customers.
• Document repairs, maintenance, installations, and performance data in equipment management systems.
• Coordinate with Biomedical Engineering, Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, and Wellstar IT on networked medical devices.
• Support regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, resource accountability, and customer service.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Augusta, Georgia, United States.
• High school diploma required.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting medical devices and systems in a hospital environment.
• At least 3 years of knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and electronic and electromechanical devices.
• Valid Georgia driver's license or valid state driver's license required upon hire.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to interpret architectural and systems drawings, deliver presentations, and work with security protocols.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electrical, biomedical, or mechanical engineering.
• CCNA, PMP, or equivalent certification.
