Patient Services Representative (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite in Orland Park, Illinois, with support for a multi-specialty clinic in Tinley Park, Illinois. Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift.

Salary: $19.00–$24.70 per hour

What you will do

• Greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, register patients, and collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, document patient calls, and coordinate outside testing.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, the medical practice, company representatives, and potential employees.
• Review Epic charts before appointments and verify current insurance cards and required consents.
• Prepare charts, file test and procedure results, complete daily charge reconciliation, and maintain medical records.
• Process medical record requests from patients, insurers, physician offices, subpoenas, and legal representatives according to protocol.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–2 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to provide customer service in person and by phone while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
• Ability to work onsite in the Orland Park and Tinley Park clinic locations on a Monday–Friday day schedule.
• Successful completion of the required background check.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–3 years of physician office experience.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
