Respiratory Care Practitioner Float - Full Time Variable Shifts (Healthcare)

Location: Based at McHenry Hospital in McHenry, Illinois, with scheduled float assignments to Woodstock and Huntley hospitals and possible assignments at Lake Forest Hospital.

Salary: USD 31.57–44.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide respiratory care to acutely ill patients through assessment, treatment, intervention, and evaluation.
• Deliver respiratory therapies and implement adult respiratory protocols across medical-surgical units.
• Provide care in adult medical-surgical, emergency, critical care, and other hospital units.
• Monitor and communicate patient conditions, adjust treatment frequencies when appropriate, and respond to clinical emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory disease management and available resources.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, precept students, and promote teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Active or pending Illinois Respiratory Care License within six months of hire.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 2 years of full-time respiratory work experience preferred.
• Availability for full-time work at 36 hours per week with rotating and variable shifts.
