Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory)

Location: Manchester, NH, United States. Full-time day shifts from 6:15 AM to 6:45 PM, including every other weekend.

What you will do

• Provide respiratory care services according to physician orders and established protocols, excluding the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, airway-clearance techniques, and hyperinflation therapy.
• Assess patients, interpret vital signs and laboratory results, and draw, analyze, and interpret arterial blood gases.
• Initiate and adjust invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation and ventilator settings.
• Participate in trauma, critical assessment, critical care transport, CPR, and airway-management activities.
• Assist with fiberoptic bronchoscopy, patient education, and apnea testing for brain-death determination.

Requirements

• Associate degree required, with a passed CRT or RRT examination.
• New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner license required at the date of hire.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire; ACLS and PALS required within six months.
• Competence in procedures for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Nice to have

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• NBRC RRT-ACCS credential.
