Warehouse Supervisor S2 (Logistics)

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and control distribution operations, including cargo input, movement, processing, sorting, and output.
• Direct air and ocean container freight station, foreign trade zone, cross-border, and interdepartmental distribution activities.
• Select, train, develop, and supervise 1–15 direct reports through daily oversight and hands-on training.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures, service-quality controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor freight movement, carrier allocations, inventory, reports, payroll records, performance reviews, and operational costs.
• Maintain safety, security, and regulatory compliance while communicating client issues, delays, equipment concerns, and service risks to management.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping, freight forwarding, transportation, or a related business environment.
• At least one year of leadership experience and strong management, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of international and domestic distribution operations, WMS-EDI, and operational safety practices.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and operate material-handling equipment safely, including forklifts, yard hostlers, pickers, and reach trucks.
• Ability to comply with OSHA, US DOT, hazardous materials, Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security, and local fire-safety regulations.
• Associate degree or college degree in business is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with CFS and FTZ operations.
• Knowledge of IATA, IMDG, and 49 CFR dangerous-goods regulations.
• TSA certification for operating within a CCSF, where applicable.
