Business Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; onsite role. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Analyze business and user needs and translate them into system requirements, specifications, flowcharts, and implementation plans.
• Design, configure, test, maintain, and improve complex automated business systems.
• Act as a liaison between end users, programmers, test analysts, management, and other stakeholders.
• Investigate escalated incidents and cross-system issues, recommend business solutions, and support successful implementation.
• Maintain procedures, application standards, documentation, and compliance requirements related to payment card industry security.
• Support project planning, assign work to Business Analysts when needed, track progress, and communicate deployment plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically at least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working with end users to understand and meet business needs.
• Knowledge of scripting, data structures, and the bankcard industry.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, create business specifications, and coordinate with technical teams.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Working toward Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, UML, and flowcharting.
• Experience coordinating other personnel or acting as a Team Lead or Project Manager on smaller development efforts.
