Chemical Engineer / Chemist Postdoctoral Intern (Ink Chemistry)

Location: Corvallis, Oregon, United States of America. The role is onsite and requires current eligibility to work in the US, with the ability to obtain US work authorization in 2027. Future work authorization sponsorship, including CPT or OPT support, is not available.

Salary: $45–$52 per hour for US candidates.

What you will do

• Formulate and reformulate inks to meet performance, quality, manufacturability, and supply requirements.
• Design, conduct, and analyze experiments involving pigments, polymers, colloids, and nanoparticle suspensions.
• Support formulation scale-up and transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
• Evaluate material changes, quality concerns, and supply risks.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
• Document experimental results and communicate technical findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
• Full-time enrollment at an accredited university.
• Academic, laboratory, or research experience with pigment chemistry, polymers, colloids, or nanoparticle suspensions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and must not require future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with ink or materials formulation.
• Knowledge of change management and risk mitigation.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and AI-assisted productivity or analytical tools.
