Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Women's Heart Care)

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, IL, United States. Full-time onsite position with four 10-hour day shifts scheduled Monday through Friday; the day off is determined by the department.

Salary: USD 61–79.67 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiovascular care for women across prevention, diagnosis, and disease management.
• Assess patients through health histories and physical examinations, evaluate care needs, and provide direct clinical treatment.
• Prescribe or order medications, therapies, laboratory tests, imaging, and procedures within clinical privileges.
• Educate patients, families, staff, and professional groups on cardiovascular health and care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, serving as a consultant and patient advocate.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical research, mentoring, preceptorship, and continuing education activities.

Requirements

• Must hold the applicable Illinois license: APRN/RN certification and licensure or Physician Assistant licensure.
• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant program.
• National APRN certification approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board for the nurse practitioner pathway.
• Credentialing and privileges through the hirify.global Medical Staff Office.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to obtain controlled substance licensure and a DEA number after licensure, where applicable.

• Three years of Cardiology APP experience.
