EHS Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Newark, Delaware, United States; occasional local travel up to 10% and off-shift support may be required.

What you will do

• Lead environmental, health, and safety programs across two manufacturing sites supporting more than 360 employees.
• Partner with employees, Operations, Engineering, and site leadership to strengthen a proactive safety culture.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Oversee compliance programs for air emissions, water systems, waste management, permits, and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate audits, inspections, regulatory visits, safety training, and facility-change reviews.
• Support ISO 14001, SPCC, Management of Change, Pre-Start-Up Safety Review, data analysis, and broader hub initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Sciences, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of environmental and occupational safety regulations.
• Experience leading investigations, audits, compliance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, coaching, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility for occasional off-shift activities and local travel.
