Senior Network Engineer (Cloud Networking)

Location: Remote, with the candidate required to be based in the United States; support is provided for a distributed office footprint across multiple states.

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 annually, with flexibility for exceptional candidates. Additional performance bonuses and benefits may be available.

What you will do

• Design and architect enterprise network solutions covering routing, switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPN, QoS, and zero-trust segmentation.
• Lead network infrastructure projects from requirements gathering and technology evaluation through implementation and deployment.
• Maintain network reliability through proactive maintenance, firmware updates, configuration tuning, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Develop and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans for network components.
• Manage network vulnerabilities, security advisories, vendor notifications, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams while mentoring junior engineers and communicating with senior management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience supporting multi-site organizations and cloud integrations.
• Expertise in OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, spanning tree, port channels, and network segmentation.
• Significant experience with Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls and Panorama.
• Extensive Cisco ACI and Nexus 9300/9000 experience, including fabric design, EPGs, and contract management.
• Experience with DMVPN, IPSec, SSL VPN, SD-WAN, Silver Peak, and Aruba EdgeConnect.
• Familiarity with Ansible, Python with Netmiko, Terraform, AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud networking, and strong technical documentation.

Nice to have

• CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE certification.
• Experience in legal, financial, or professional services industries.
• Experience with Citrix NetScaler ADC, Cisco Meraki, packet capture tools, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, WAFs, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
