Network Engineer - WAN (Sr. Consultant Level)

Location: Hybrid position in Ashburn, Virginia, United States; office attendance will be confirmed by the hiring manager. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $152,200–$243,700 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Design, engineer, implement, and support customer-facing IP networks, including LAN, WAN, switching, routing, and MPLS-based infrastructure.
• Provision new client processing, implement network changes, create technical documentation, and provide third-level troubleshooting support.
• Manage enterprise DDI infrastructure covering DNS, DHCP, and IPAM, including domains, networks, ACLs, templates, subnets, and DHCP scopes.
• Partner with Cybersecurity on security standards, security-event investigations, and network troubleshooting.
• Architect public-cloud connectivity with private data centers across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Develop self-service network-health tools, automation templates, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience; 11+ years may qualify without a degree.
• Experience designing and engineering customer-facing networks, including IP networking, switching, routing, and MPLS.
• Certified Cisco networking experience at CCNP level or progress toward CCNP, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Expertise with OSPF, BGP, IPSec, SSL, HSRP, VRRP, NAT, SD-WAN, and DMVPN in high-availability environments.
• Experience with AWS or GCP connectivity, scripting, network monitoring tools, enterprise DDI, and infrastructure-as-code automation.
• Experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Python, or similar tools, plus production container technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
