Lead Application Architect (Azure)

Location: Remote in Kentucky, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required for training or meetings.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead architecture design, governance, and strategic direction for the Specialty Integration Hub.
• Define and enforce integration architecture standards, design principles, and best practices.
• Translate business objectives into technology solutions and delivery roadmaps with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
• Drive enterprise API, data integration, cloud, and modernization strategies.
• Lead design reviews, technology evaluations, risk assessments, and governance throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Mentor technical teams and coordinate deliverables with other architects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 8 or more years of experience as a senior developer on large IT projects.
• Extensive experience designing scalable and secure enterprise solutions with Microsoft Azure, including AKS, App Services, and Azure Functions.
• Experience with big data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures using Delta Lake, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, and Azure Data Factory.
• Strong background in API design and management with Azure API Management and REST, GraphQL, or gRPC.
• Experience with SaaS integration, event-driven architecture, Azure Event Hubs, Service Bus, or Kafka, as well as modern DevOps practices.
