Associate, New Verticals - Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Tempe, or Mountain View, United States; a few in-person days are required each month.

Salary: $74,800–$110,000 USD annual base salary, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Develop strategies for serving merchants, consumers, and dashers across the grocery marketplace.
• Own operational dashboards and manage week-over-week performance metrics.
• Build economic, operational, and strategic models using SQL and spreadsheets.
• Design and run experiments that become operational programs, product features, and new tooling.
• Use AI tools to automate manual workflows, accelerate analysis, and build prototypes and product visions.
• Partner with growth, quality, finance, product, engineering, analytics, and sales teams to launch initiatives.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience in analytical and cross-functional work across technology, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related field.
• Completed bachelor’s degree in a field combining quantitative and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience using SQL to retrieve data and spreadsheets to build analytical models.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems from first principles and translate goals into actionable plans.
• Ownership mindset, entrepreneurial approach, and comfort operating at both strategic and detailed levels.
• Active interest in AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Gemini, with a builder-oriented approach to automation and analysis.
