Category Analyst (eCommerce)

Location: Hybrid; the position may require travel.

Base salary: $76,000–$114,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage category performance and maximize product category sales.
• Lead vendor partner onboarding, assortment strategy, and negotiation of business terms.
• Lead strategic projects and develop process improvements that increase team efficiency and performance.
• Research, collect, and analyze economic and statistical data, monitor trends, and develop forecasts for the online business.
• Build category strategies and project road maps by combining analysis with business judgment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, private label, finance, catalog, and product teams.

Requirements

• BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or a related analytical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in eCommerce, buying, account management, product management, category management, consulting, analytics, finance, or marketing.
• Internship experience in one or more of these areas is expected.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including Excel and SQL.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, ownership, and ability to communicate complex problems.

Nice to have

• Additional experience with Excel and SQL.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across a cross-matrix organization.
• Experience managing multiple projects through prioritization, planning, and delegation.
• Track record of taking ownership, driving results, and working or leading in a team environment.
