R&D Insights and Operations - Growth (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA — hybrid, with office attendance approximately 2–3 days per week or more depending on the role. The San Francisco office expectation includes the San Jose metro area.

Cash compensation: $221,275–$298,721 per year in New York/San Francisco; $188,510–$232,496 per year in Denver.

What you will do

• Identify and size high-leverage Growth opportunities, develop recommendations, and create execution plans.
• Build Growth operating rhythms, including planning cycles, prioritization, shared roadmaps, and dependency tracking across Growth R&D, Product R&D, and go-to-market.
• Apply attribution, LTV modeling, testing, and experimentation discipline to connect growth investments with business impact.
• Develop mechanisms that align Growth R&D and go-to-market teams around shared goals and decisions.
• Design technology-centered operating systems and reusable AI-powered workflows for planning, synthesis, and reporting.
• Advise Growth leadership, challenge assumptions, surface risks, and help strengthen the broader Insights & Operations practice.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in operations, business operations, or strategy and operations at a high-growth technology company, including building a Growth function from an earlier stage.
• Direct experience with attribution, LTV modeling, testing, experimentation, and translating growth or marketing spend into measurable business impact.
• Experience connecting Growth and go-to-market, or Product and Sales, around shared goals.
• Strong judgment about when to build systems, reprioritize work, or expand headcount; comfortable starting as an individual contributor and building teams when needed.
• Exceptional organizational, written, verbal, financial, and executive communication skills.
• Low-ego collaboration, empathy for small-business customers, and comfort working through ambiguity and change.
