Salary: $147,050–$230,850 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and maintain functional, regression, stress, corner-case, and long-duration firmware test plans.
• Validate firmware integration with hardware, BIOS/UEFI, embedded controllers, microcontrollers, sensors, and platform components.
• Perform root-cause analysis, drive corrective actions, and verify firmware defect fixes.
• Manage quality dashboards, KPIs, failure rates, and reliability metrics.
• Evaluate failure modes and propose architectural, design, and process improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, sustaining, integration, and outsourced development teams while mentoring less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded firmware, quality engineering, hardware/firmware debugging, or reliability engineering.
• Strong understanding of embedded firmware development in C/C++, driver development, bootloaders, embedded controllers, and BIOS/UEFI fundamentals.
• Experience with test automation, scripting such as Python, Perl, or PowerShell, testing tools, continuous integration, version control, and quality workflows.
• Experience with low-level debugging tools including JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
