Firmware Engineer (AI Hardware)

hirify.global is recruiting for a fast-growing AI hardware company developing next-generation AI accelerator systems.

What you will do

• Develop platform firmware including boot ROMs, bootloaders, embedded controllers, BMCs, and device firmware.
• Build secure boot and hardware root-of-trust capabilities, including measured and verified boot, code signing, authenticated updates, anti-rollback protections, and secure debug.
• Develop power-management firmware for power sequencing, PMIC and voltage-rail control, DVFS, and thermal and power protection.
• Build monitoring and telemetry infrastructure for sensors, system health, RAS, error logging, and platform-management interfaces.
• Support board and post-silicon bring-up using JTAG, scan, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other debugging tools.
• Collaborate with silicon architecture, hardware, and software teams on firmware interfaces, threat modeling, and hardware/software co-design.

Requirements

• Strong C and assembly programming skills for embedded or firmware development.
• Experience with bare-metal or RTOS environments on ARM or similar architectures.
• 5+ years of platform or system firmware development experience across boot, BMC or embedded controllers, and device firmware.
• Hands-on experience with secure boot, hardware root of trust, code signing, and secure or anti-rollback firmware updates.
• Experience with power-management firmware, sensors, telemetry, RAS, error handling, JTAG, and management interfaces.
• Ability to read hardware specifications, perform lab bring-up, and work across the hardware/software boundary.

Nice to have

• Rust, OpenBMC, UEFI, or coreboot experience.
• Accelerator, GPU, or server-platform firmware experience.
• Applied cryptography, key management, ARM TrustZone, or firmware supply-chain security experience.
• Familiarity with side-channel attacks, fault injection, NIST SP 800-193, FIPS 140-3, or SBOMs.
