Staff DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; periodic travel to work with and present to clients, partners, and stakeholders may be required.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, operate, and improve scalable and secure cloud platforms and services.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with infrastructure-as-code and develop reusable CI/CD pipelines for microservices and APIs.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules for cloud landing zones and build reusable infrastructure libraries and packages.
• Configure observability, improve platform stability and availability, manage cloud costs, and enhance developer experience.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, security controls, static analysis, and quality thresholds to support CMS/NIST compliance and ATO retention.
• Lead technical planning, stakeholder communication, client presentations, mentoring, migrations to cloud-native data services, and technical interviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of experience; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Expert-level knowledge of multiple infrastructure-as-code tools, including Terraform or Ansible.
• Expertise in DevSecOps and DevOps concepts such as software installation, virtualization, containerization, and networking.
• Ability to independently design cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines while evaluating cost, reliability, and efficiency tradeoffs.
• Availability to work remotely within the United States and periodically travel for client and stakeholder engagements.

Nice to have

• Cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, or GKE experience.
• Hybrid connectivity, disaster recovery, performance optimization, and FinOps reporting expertise.
• Terraform and HashiCorp Vault expertise, AWS or Azure certification, Git/GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Python scripting.
