Certified Athletic Trainer (Injury Prevention)

Location: Onsite at the Carpenter Technology Health Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, United States. Monday–Friday, generally 8:00am–4:30pm, with flexibility to work 5:00am–1:30pm one or two days per week.

What you will do

• Develop and implement early-intervention programs, including comprehensive musculoskeletal examinations, OSHA-compliant first aid, and injury-prevention education.
• Perform physical-demand and ergonomic assessments to identify high-risk tasks and recommend preventive strategies.
• Lead individual and group training in functional movement, job simulation, and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with onsite medical and safety teams to coordinate care and recommend workplace countermeasures.
• Document assessments, recommendations, outcomes, and patient health records accurately and promptly.
• Participate in meetings, task forces, and other assigned activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited professional Athletic Training education program.
• Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer credential.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the contract scope of services.
• Experience in occupational health and safety, with knowledge of current OSHA regulations preferred.
• Experience in ergonomics, critical thinking, prioritization, problem-solving, relationship building, time management, and multitasking.

Nice to have

• Certification in a specialty area such as ergonomics.
• Experience in ergonomics and occupational health and safety.
