Athletic Trainer - Orthopedics Full Time

Location: 27650 Ferry Rd., Warrenville, Illinois, United States; onsite role with high school sports coverage and physician clinic support. Work is generally scheduled from early afternoon until daily activities are finished, with frequent Saturdays depending on the season.

Salary: USD 26.23–36.72 per hour, with overtime and shift differentials available based on hours worked.

What you will do

• Provide direct athletic training and patient care under the supervision of the referring physician.
• Cover high school sports and support physician clinic operations.
• Perform evaluations, re-evaluations, treatment, and follow-up while adjusting care plans as needed.
• Complete accurate daily clinical documentation, patient education, discharge follow-up calls, and related administrative records.
• Participate in process improvement, departmental committees, special projects, and physician relationship development.
• Teach and support students, observers, interns, and new hires through clinical instruction and educational activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in athletic training for graduates after July 1, 2020; bachelor’s degree accepted for graduates before July 1, 2020.
• Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Illinois.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire, or within 90 days of hire for cost centers 8619 and 8500.
• Ability to work school-dependent afternoon schedules, frequent Saturdays, and occasional meetings or schedule changes outside normal hours.
• Ability to provide patient education, maintain compliant clinical documentation, and collaborate with physicians and clinical teams.
