What you will do

• Provide athletic training services covering injury prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, acute care, emergency response, rehabilitation, reconditioning, and health care administration.
• Work with the head athletic trainer, team physicians, coaches, and student-athletes to support athletic health care.
• Provide coverage for assigned home and away athletic events.
• Maintain individual medical records, daily injury reports, and annual injury summaries.
• Organize athletic training equipment and supplies, supervise athletic training students, and assist with the Athletic Training Program.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate graduate assistant athletic trainers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
• Texas athletic trainer license or temporary permit by the date of hire.
• General knowledge of NCAA rules.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
• No prior experience is required.
