What you will do

• Own general ledger operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounting compliance.
• Build scalable accounting policies, systems, and internal controls to support company growth.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, board reporting, and investor deliverables.
• Manage external audits and coordinate tax, compliance, and regulatory filings with external partners.
• Lead monthly budget-versus-actuals analysis, explain variances, and incorporate changes into forecasts.
• Partner with leadership on financial insights and strategic decision-making while mentoring the accounting team.

Requirements

• CPA certification and strong technical accounting experience.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including 2+ years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role.
• Startup finance experience at the Series A/B stage, including building and scaling processes from scratch.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, audits, tax filings, and compliance.
• Public accounting or audit experience; Big Four or national firm experience is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.
