Manager, Accounting Advisory (Construction)

Location: Remote anywhere in the United States; travel up to 10%.

Salary: $107,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Prepare benchmarking data, key performance indicators, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Present reporting packages and findings to construction clients, owners, and CFOs.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and recommend improvements to processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
• Lead US and offshore engagement teams and coordinate high-quality, efficient client deliverables.
• Coach staff and senior accountants on accounting and financial reporting matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of public or private accounting experience, including controller-level or equivalent accounting leadership experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing associates or teams.
• Working knowledge of job costing, work-in-progress schedules, retainage, change orders, project-based cash flow, and contractor compliance.
• Strong financial reporting, analysis, planning, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work with owners, project managers, external advisors, and distributed engagement teams in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• CPA, CMA, or another professional certification.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Foundation, Procore, or similar industry accounting software.
• Exposure to multistate operations and sales/use tax.
