Lecturer (Educational Leadership)

Location: Kingsville, Texas, United States; primarily campus-based with face-to-face, hybrid, and online teaching formats as assigned.

What you will do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educational leadership and administration across face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
• Develop and maintain syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, assessments, and learning activities aligned with academic and accreditation standards.
• Assess student learning, maintain course records, submit grades, and provide office hours, advising, mentoring, and student support.
• Participate in curriculum review, program assessment, accreditation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support student recruitment, retention, outreach, and partnerships with PK–12 schools, education service centers, and community organizations.
• Contribute to departmental and university service, professional engagement, and educational leadership initiatives.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least three years of successful professional experience in PK–12 education or a related educational setting.
• Experience in educational leadership, teaching, administration, adult learning, mentoring, supervision, or graduate instruction.
• Experience using instructional technology and learning management systems to support teaching and student learning.
• Valid Texas Principal Certificate or eligibility to obtain it within the specified employment period.
• Valid Texas educator certification with prior experience in a Texas public school setting; Texas Superintendent Certification is preferred for superintendent-level coursework.

Nice to have

• Three to five years of PK–12 leadership experience as a principal, central office administrator, or superintendent.
• College or university teaching experience, particularly in educational administration or related graduate programs.
• Experience supervising principal or superintendent interns and field-based practicum experiences.
• Knowledge of Texas Education Agency standards, educator certification requirements, and Educator Preparation Program expectations.
• Experience with Blackboard, Canvas, curriculum development, graduate student advising, and PK–12 district partnerships.
