Pharmacy Audit Engineer

Location: Remote - Wisconsin, United States

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually

Brown & Brown / Remedy Analytics provides pharmacy claims auditing and analytics services focused on PBM contract compliance, financial accuracy, and operational effectiveness.

What you will do

• Plan and execute financial and operational pharmacy claims audits in line with internal audit standards.
• Load, reconcile, and quality-check claims data, master files, profiles, and table changes.
• Run and analyze Oracle reports, complex SQL queries, and recurring ad hoc data analytics.
• Build and continuously improve audit automation transforms and customized project frameworks.
• Review PBM contracts, track audit observations, and evaluate remediation efforts.
• Prepare audit reports and deliverables while collaborating with PBMs, clients, and internal account teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar analytically focused discipline.
• Strong proficiency in database table creation and management, ETL processes, complex Oracle and SQL queries, and code maintenance.
• Understanding of dimensional models and experience developing and executing business logic.
• Experience demonstrating problem-solving, financial acumen, analytical output, and project ownership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and manage multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, including HIPAA.

Nice to have

• Project management experience.
• Version control experience with Git or Bitbucket.
• PowerBI or SSRS visualization experience.
• Python experience with pandas, NumPy, and general data manipulation.
• Experience with pharmacy or medical claims data and pharmacy claims auditing.
