TL;DR
Classroom Coordinator (Physical Therapy): Coordinating teaching spaces, equipment, room bookings, examinations, and clinical education events for the MPT program at the UBC Vancouver campus with an accent on classroom operations, AV support, equipment maintenance, and student-facing service. Focus on setting up clinical labs and OSCE stations, troubleshooting time-sensitive technology issues, and supporting distributed learning across program sites.

Location: In-person at the hirify.global Point Grey Campus in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The role starts at 7:30 a.m. and may require occasional overtime or weekend work during examinations.

Salary: $4,443.00–$4,668.00 CAD per month.

What you will do

  • Coordinate daily teaching-space operations for the Master of Physical Therapy program, including classroom, clinical lab, and equipment setup and takedown.
  • Maintain equipment inventories, arrange purchases, track spending, and coordinate maintenance and calibration schedules.
  • Manage room bookings, videoconference connections, and audiovisual scripting for teaching sessions across program sites.
  • Provide in-class technical support, troubleshoot audiovisual and equipment issues, and support computer-based written examinations.
  • Support OSCEs, patient-partner visits, orientation, interviews, induction, graduation, and other departmental events.
  • Liaise with faculty, instructors, students, vendors, Digital Solutions, and site leadership to resolve operational issues.

Requirements

  • High school graduation, one year of post-secondary education, and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently on site, and meet deadlines in an unpredictable environment.
  • Ability to resolve complaints and time-sensitive issues calmly, tactfully, and with sound judgment.
  • Ability to lift and move therapy beds, clinical equipment, stacked chairs, and other materials; standing and working at heights may be required.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect for diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

  • Post-secondary education and at least three years of experience in educational support.
  • Experience with audiovisual hardware and software, IT equipment, or medical equipment.
  • Previous experience in a college or university setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
