Commercial Agreements Legal Intern (2027 Summer)

Location: Essex Junction, Vermont, United States; onsite summer internship

Salary: $20.00–$40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support attorneys and paralegals with sales transactions and nondisclosure agreements.
• Analyze customer contract drafts and prepare commercial agreements.
• Gather information required to complete contract documentation.
• Participate in internal business reviews and support customer contract negotiations.
• Improve commercial agreement templates, contract playbooks, compliance initiatives, and processes.
• Follow Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Juris Doctor degree and completing the second year of law school before the internship begins.
• At least a 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• Knowledge of U.S. contract law.
• Excellent legal research, legal writing, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• English fluency in written and verbal communication.
• Availability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Nice to have

• Prior legal internship, clerkship, or co-op experience.
• Leadership experience in the workplace, academic projects, or competitions.
• Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
• Project management, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Business, science, engineering, technology, finance, or accounting background.
• Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German.
