Manager, Commercial Credit Risk

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Manage adjudication for a portfolio of Diversified Industries Commercial Banking borrowers.
• Review financial histories, assess bank exposure from a risk/return perspective, and approve or decline credit applications within delegated authority.
• Monitor portfolio risk ratings, action plans, and high-risk or watch-list accounts.
• Develop and track corrective measures for credit-related issues.
• Partner with relationship managers, lending officers, business officers, and risk management colleagues on credit transactions and recommendations.
• Conduct periodic consultations and visits to support sound commercial credit practices.

Requirements

• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial credit adjudication and/or commercial banking.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including interpreting financial reports and bank statements and investigating complex problems.
• Knowledge of lending products, credit policies, market conditions, and legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
