Iron Technician I (Oil & Gas)

Location: USA - PA - Waynesburg - SPM Service Center; onsite Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. Weekend on-call work and overtime may be required based on business needs. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $21.90-$29.30 per hour, with starting pay of $21.90 per hour depending on experience.

What you will do

• Process incoming iron from delivery through recertification, quality checks, inventory management, and shipment.
• Refurbish flow control products according to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Clean, strip, inspect, and disassemble flow control components according to standard operating procedures.
• Prepare products for gauging, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle inspections.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow and promote safety procedures while working with mechanical equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to operate hand tools, including pneumatic tools.
• Sound mechanical aptitude, reliability, accountability, consistency, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear protective footwear and required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work around fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, outdoor conditions, vibration, and moderate noise.
• A clean driving record, generally with no more than two moving violations in the past 12 months and no more than three in the past three years.

Nice to have

• Three to six months of related oil and gas experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment.
