Mechanic I (Diesel Systems)

Location: Lafayette, Indiana Manufacturing Facility

Pay rate: $21.00–$29.50 per hour

hirify.global operates a manufacturing facility producing diesel systems and related mechanical components.

What you will do

• Fabricate, assemble, debug, test, and troubleshoot mechanical components for diesel systems.
• Install mechanical parts and sheet metal assemblies using basic machine shop tools.
• Weld aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel using MIG and TIG processes.
• Assemble and troubleshoot 12-volt electro-mechanical systems.
• Debug and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to communicate and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 2–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• 2–5 years of experience with commercial trailers equipped with pony motors.
• Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of data collection and statistics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, follow through, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
• Commitment to quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Ability to read mechanical part drawings.
