Focus on delivering safe ambulatory care, maintaining clinical equipment and supplies, and coordinating efficient patient visits.

Location: 26W171 Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, Illinois, United States. On-site, full-time day shift.

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do

  • Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient flow and clinical activities.
  • Escort and prepare patients, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and communicate significant changes to providers.
  • Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
  • Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain examination rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, and medications.
  • Promote patient satisfaction through professional communication and effective coordination with the care team.
  • Perform specialty-specific procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current certification as a medical assistant, or written proof of eligibility for an AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, or NRCMA certification exam.
  • Certification must be attained within the first six months of employment, with up to two test attempts.
  • American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work on site in Wheaton, Illinois and complete a pre-employment background check.

Nice to have

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
