Medical Assistant (Endocrinology)

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient flow and clinic operations.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and communicate significant changes to the care team.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, procedure trays, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
• Promote patient satisfaction through professional communication and protect patient confidentiality.
• Perform delegated procedures and specialty-specific duties according to established protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current eligibility for or certification through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, or NRCMA; certification must be attained within six months of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience.
• Strong computer skills and effective communication with patients and care teams.
• Onsite work in Elgin, Illinois is required.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
