Location: 259 E. Erie, Chicago, IL, United States; onsite, full-time day shift

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do

  • Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient flow and clinical care activities.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, document visit information, and communicate significant changes to clinical staff.
  • Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
  • Clean, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
  • Promote patient satisfaction through professional communication and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Perform delegated procedures specific to neurology and complete other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current certification or documented eligibility for an accepted medical assistant certification exam; certification must be completed within six months of employment.
  • American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
  • Zero to two years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Strong computer skills and effective communication with patients and care teams.

Nice to have

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.
  • One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
