Focus on preparing patients for examinations, maintaining safe treatment areas, completing CLIA-waived testing, and coordinating efficient clinic operations.
Location: Glenview, Illinois, United States; onsite at the Glenview clinic. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with varying hours between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.; may require closing shifts and travel to other locations as needed.
Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour.

What you will do
- Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, document visit information, and support efficient patient flow.
- Assist physicians and other practitioners with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
- Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and stock exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
- Monitor patient needs, report significant changes in vital signs or acute symptoms, and communicate with providers, nurses, patients, and staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, support patient satisfaction, follow safety procedures, and complete office opening and closing tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current certification as a medical assistant or written proof of eligibility to take an approved certification exam.
- American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Certification as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA must be completed within the first six months of employment, with up to two test attempts.
- Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
- Signed acknowledgement that certification must be obtained within six months as a condition of employment.
Nice to have
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
