Substation Engineer

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States

Salary: Minimum $115,000 per year, negotiable based on location, skills, certifications, and other position criteria.

What you will do

• Design new power substations and upgrade existing facilities from 12kV to 500kV.
• Manage small projects and support larger multidisciplinary projects.
• Perform technical research, calculations, modeling, design, and report writing.
• Prepare designs, plans, specifications, studies, estimates, material lists, proposals, and budgetary estimates.
• Track project progress against schedules and budgets while maintaining project quality and QA/QC compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project team members, including assigning work and providing training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in substation physical and protection-and-control engineering at a consulting firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in Fort Worth, Texas.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
